FAQ

We accepts donations of cars, trailers, trucks, boats, RV’s, motorcycles, jet skis, vans, and buses. We can take almost any vehicle.

Kars4Kids works with the largest car groups in Israel. The value of the vehicle is determined according to the Levi Itzhak value guide, taking the vehicle details and market conditions into account.

The donation process does not involve expenses for you. The towing fees are paid for by Kars4Kids

Your tax receipt will be emailed immediately after the vehicle is picked up. Additionally, a hard copy will be mailed within 3-6 weeks from the date of the donation.

The State of Israel grants tax refunds for donations you made during the calendar year. A person who during the year contributed more than NIS 200 (as of 2023) to a charity recognized for the purpose of tax refund (which received approval according to סעיף 46), is entitled to an income tax credit for that year. For private individuals and businesses that are not limited liability companies - the amount of the credit is 35% of the total donation made. For example, a person who donated 100,000 NIS will benefit from a tax credit of 35,000 NIS for his contribution.
Please consult with your tax adviser as to how you will benefit in your specific circumstance.

It is possible to donate a car without the vehicle license. In such a case, we will ask the vehicle owner to sign additional documents instead so we can order a duplicate.

The vehicle will be towed by a towing service. We only use registered, insured, and professional towing services.

The vehicle owners do not have to be present when the vehicle is handed over. You can also inform us where the vehicle is parked and leave the keys inside the vehicle. It is important to make sure that you leave the vehicle license in the vehicle.

We can pick up vehicles throughout Israel.
We can pick up the vehicle from anywhere that is convenient for you - from home, the workplace, the garage or on the side of the road.

The vehicle can be picked up within two business days from when we contact you. The towing company we use will contact you to coordinate a pickup date that works for you.

Unfortunately we cannot accept abandoned cars. Contact the local police to list the vehicle as abandoned or find out if a local junkyard can pick up the car.

We can only accept a vehicle whose owner has passed away if you have a copy of the death certificate and documentation that you are the official heir of the deceased.

Certainly, vehicles that are not in good condition can be donated. Each donated vehicle benefits the students in our programs and allows you to receive a tax credit equal to the full value of the vehicle, according to סעיף 46.

When signing over ownership, be sure to print and sign your name as "Seller" exactly as it appears on the license.
